SIEL Networks

The Society of International Economic Law (SIEL) is a global umbrella organisation that has developed a highly successful model for bringing together scholars, academically-inclined practitioners and officials interested in international economic law.  Set up to be as inclusive an organisation as possible, it has had a particular focus on supporting the work of younger scholars and those from developing states.  As the organisation has evolved, there has also been support for the establishment of a series of sub-groups/networks centred around specific interest areas.  This would allow for smaller, targeted events in which a highly-specialised level of engagement could be fostered.

Presently, three such networks have been set up.  One for International Investment Law, one for International Financial & Monetary Law, and one for Postgraduate and Early Academics/Professionals. Anyone interested in establishing a new network should contact the SIEL Vice-Presidents.
